Baits and Tackle used near Norwich

Check Prices

  • people were using meal worms and marshmelows to take small trout.
  • blue fox#2 deep runners bright blue with white tail Berkely minnow perch patern
  • threw berkely minnows perch patern, Suspending Rapala Perch patern , Grub jigs
  • Grey/White Super-fluke with 1/8-1/4 oz jig head
  • Same as every one else but should have been using a larger
    jig head maybe 1 oz, current was ripping and noticed people bumping the bottom to hook up
  • Lost my #2 mepps spinner after i hooked into the big unknown fish. Took the smallies on a 1/6 orange roostertail. Then hung up and lost that.
  • Bass caught on plastic cricket, pike caught on small blue/silver Phoebe
  • Gold/Silver Spoon and Berkley Artificial Minnow/Smelt,

    2 Pickerel (1 ~14"), 3 Crapie, 1 Trout, 1 Chub, 1 Bluegill
  • white and silver rooster tail
  • All my fish were caught on a texas rigged Gary Yamamoto Stretch 40 worm in green pumpkin with a 3/8 oz. bullet weight pegged on the front.

  • running a bass pro shops 3.5 inch tube. Little fish were having a hard time choking the bait down, but they managed.

  • We had the most luck fishing with muddler minnows and black ghosts. Also had success using green and white wholly buggers. Stay below the surface this time of year. Blue winged olives and other mayflies could be a good option as well.

  • Used a tan caddis #14 or so size. Such a small fish, probably not even worth recording, but oh well at least got something. Took quick photo and let em go.
