spaulding pond Fishing Report

Crap Day At Spalding Pond

This location is great if you want to fish with little kids. There is tons of shore access, and few bushest to get in the way. I did manages to loose a spinner in a tree, but i was trying everything i could think of to get a bite and still ended up skunked. I will never go back to that location, as the shoreline was all very shallow, like six inches deep for 15 or more feet out. There were some very small stocker rainbows taken while i was there by the bait hangers, but nothing to get excited about. I did hook a broken off line to take my one fish of the day a little 11 inch rainbow, which had somehow swallowed a line and had it running from stem to stern. I cut all the line off and out of the fish and i let it go free again, a depressing sight to say the least. I did my part for conservation for the day.
