last 3 suggestions all good ideas....looks like we might have a nice handful of people showin up when we nail down location and date.

How about picking a date say Feb. 6 then work out where, maybe a poll.

that date works for me, I'll have to swap weekends with the ex, as I know my boys will be pissed if they miss it. Luckily it shouldn't be a problem.

We may want to choose a latter date in Feb. The way the weather is looking, the ice may get too thin for us.

The next 10 days not looking good for ice. Shoreline ponds have open water around the shore. How do the lakes/ponds look further inland?

last weekend they were ok, but I have not stepped on one since. As I drive around NE, I'm always looking to see if any one is out fishing. the ponds that I have driven by, look very slushy. I was hoping to get out this weekend, but it's not looking good.

So here is my 2 cents on this idea....pick date/place,pick a time to meet at launch area,as a group pick area to fish,keep together as group at home base and spread traps out from there....no sense all splitting up and being too far apart to bullchit while waitin for flags to pop....please chime in if you have ideas.....next sat or the sat after that???.....reminder some waters close end of feb.

That's kinda how I was thinking we would do it. Next weekend won't work for me, but the following "20th" would be fine. What ponds are closed in March? Any of the ones we are looking at?
