Cougar Lake

AKA Tower lake, Cougar lake is located on the SIUE Campus in Edwardsville, IL. This will be my first time getting out this entire year, (employment sucks), and with the heat index projected @ 105, my hopes are not too high. I have only fished near the marina before, and am bringing my bicycle early in the morning so that i can make it around the entire lake by the end of the day. Timne permitting, I may also hit the lake on fridaq afternoon and evening.

  • Love Tower Lake. I fished for crappie there years ago and NEVER seen a bass. Now I catch 5+ LB. bass out of there regularly. AMAZING. I have a nice bass boat and fish tournaments but I have my best days on Tower Lake. Who would have ever thought! That lake is a GEM! Shhhhhhh.....

  • Goin back on tuesday near sunset to see if the fishing is as good as it was in the morning. Back to the culvert, the only reason i left was for a lack of water and a high temp (basically, i was a wuss). I'd bet i have just as good luck there @ night!!
