Fishing permits are required and are obtained from the Aquarion Water Company. Warning: Enforcement personnel patrol the reservoir. Excellent fishing.


SAUGATUCK RESERVOIR, Easton-Redding-Weston (827 acres) WALLEYE LAKE Species: (T LMB SMB CB S WA) Season: Open 6:00 am 3rd Saturday April-December 31. Note: Permit required to fish-contact Aquarion Water Company at 203-452-3510. Fishing permitted from west shore only. Other: The possession and use of any live alewives, blueback (glut or river) herring, gizzard, hickory or threadfin shad as bait is prohibited. Use of boats and canoes prohibited. The Saugatuck Reservoir is a reservoir in Fairfield County Connecticut, USA, that straddles the border between the towns of Redding and Weston. It is created by a dam of the Saugatuck River, and provides water to several of the surrounding towns. It is considered quite scenic and is stocked with trout for fishing. It borders the Devil's Den Preserve in the southwest.
