Pocotopaug Lake Baits and Tackle
Dry Fly Check Prices
- Caught using a yellow haired caddis ~#16 size.
- Caught on a yellow sally size 14. Had a bite using a yellow and red streamer.
- Used a tan caddis #14 or so size. Such a small fish, probably not even worth recording, but oh well at least got something. Took quick photo and let em go.
- Yellow drakes and orange/yellow sulfers.
Nymph Check Prices
- A cross between a pheasant tail and a copper jack.
- Nymphs, muddler minnows, and black ghosts all returned results
- Green nymphs worked well.
Also had luck with white streamers, muddler minnows, and zonkers. - Green bh nymph

- We had the most luck fishing with muddler minnows and black ghosts. Also had success using green and white wholly buggers. Stay below the surface this time of year. Blue winged olives and other mayflies could be a good option as well.

lake pocotopaug , East Hampton (502 acres) Note: No public access. Species: (LMB SMB CP WA WP YP S) Walleye: Daily creel limit-2, 20” minimum length. Connecticut's largest natural lake! A 511.7 acre scenic and recreational haven! Summer residents will enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, and water skiing! Residents that do not own waterfront property or belong to one of the Lake Associations can utilize the town beach, boat launch, and picnic area at Sears Park. During the winter, try your luck at ice skating, hockey or ice fishing! 40 mph speed limit. Motorboats not to exceed 6mph between 1/2 hour after sunset and 7 a.m. Motorboats prohibited from coming within 50 ' of other vessels at over 6 mph. Towing or launching into the air of persons prohibited. Ski jumps prohibited without permission. Vessels with built-in or portable toilets prohibited.
