If you want to learn the basic knowledge, attitude and skills for safe handling of handguns, this is the class for you. You must be 21 years old to participate. This class is required for CT residents who wish to obtain their CT Pistol Permit. The fee per student is $120 (IT IS NON-REFUNDABLE) (Law Enforcement and Military discounts apply. Email instructor for details), which will cover all class materials, and is due at or before the first of the month in which you will be taking the class. The class limit is 15 students. The class will take place over 2 days (total of 10 hours). Payment will be accepted via cash, check or PayPal at pistolpeteowens@hotmail.com. Cabela's/Ducks Unlimited Northeast Waterfowl Festival
Cabela's is proud to be hosting this waterfowl and carving competition. This show combines all aspects of waterfowl. In addition to introducing a new carving show to the New England area, the festival provides a weekend of events and activities for the whole family, including dog trials and training seminars, carving and painting demonstrations and seminars with champion decoy carvers. Other highlights will include waterfowl taxidermist displays and seminars, carving and painting for the kids, educational programs; the Federal Junior duck stamp program display and live birds of prey. Entries and registration for the competition will be between 5pm-6pm on Friday, September 17 and on Saturday, September 18 between 8am-10am. The Festival and competition show will be from 10am - 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.

CT Boating & PWC/Jetski One-Day Certification Course
Safe Boating Connecticut will be teaching the CT Boating and PWC/Jet Ski certification class. The course is available in a one-day format on weekends either on Saturdays or Sundays throughout the year. This State Certification is widely known as a Boating and Jetski License and is required by Connecticut residents to operate boats and PWC in Connecticut waters.
