Hit the pond with buddy Eric from 8:30 til 12:30.He got several small bass and I had a pickerel and then got this beauty.My first bass of this ice season.It was a little over 3 lbs and 18 inches.
Got him on a 6 inch shiner.Had one other real good hit on my Arctic Warrior,was peeling some serious line and then when I got to the hole the freeekin rod popped out of the holder!Thats never happened before.Missed that one though.The good ol Mr.Boston came in handy today with the wind we were dealing with!!!

Way to go!! Looks like the same bass from our first trip last season you and I did.
Nice way to kick it off....6" shiner huh?? the bass came at a cost Wink

Actually Lung, I bought a dozen medium and got out to my van and found that monster shiner tossed in my bucket!I didnt know they even have any shiners that big where I got them!hahahahaha.

Last years first bass was a 4 lber but I am happy with todays catch for sure!!!....as soon as Poco safe lets hit it Pops!
