Do to Rainbow draw down, I have to cancel the tournament, The river will be unfishable for the rest of the month. I will try to pick another lake or time, I may wait until next season. Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks for your help! Right now, I'm mainly limited to the shore, as I don't have a boat. I'll have to check out that spot on the CT, as it's pretty close to me. I fished with one of those perch lures before, they have pretty good action in the water. That got me the bass in my pic. I've heard from others that Lake Williams is good, my inlaws live down the road from there, so I'm going to check it out.
I picked up a pole/reel combo at Cabela's, a Shimano Sedona 2500FD with a Cabela Tourney IM7 6'6" medium action pole. I did get the braided green line, 10' test, 4' diameter, mainly because my cousin swears by it, and I had good experience with it in Maine.
It's always nice to be able to pick people's brains who have more experience, so I appreciate your time!
Heya! I was checking out your trips and noticed a few were near where I live, in the Southern part of E. Hartford, near Glastonbury. I'm kind of new to fishing, caught the bug from fishing with my cousins in Maine, and was looking for suggestions on locations and gear.
