Day break again finds us at the barn to try once again for stipers or blues on Saturday. Three hours later nothing in or out but one strike on the breakwater. Flukin time. Tried Pops honey hole to no success, went inside to the first can to drift with nothing again. Screw it, ran out to 1/2 mile of Watch Hill and drifted in to get fish on. After getting 12 fluke with no keepers, Bob and I tried the honey hole again to pick up 5 more with one at 19". Really tough throwing that one back, but DEP was at the dock at 12 so I didn't want the BS . Called it at 1:30 and now no DEP at dock. Camping with the grandkids next weekend, so the Lund gets a break. |
