Surprize Pickerel

Fished for pike over the weekend, casted everything I had with no luck. I was about ready to call it a day when I hooked and landed I nice pickerel. Well that kept me fishing for another hour still no pike but it was alot of fun catching the pickerel.

Not to be a kill joy, but these are all good things to add to a post instead of the ole generic "I caught a fish" posting. Like I said, not to be a kill joy details are always helpful and WTG nice fish, I would guestimate that pickerel to be about 24 inches? Am I close?

That's a big pickerel 27inch is considered a trophy fish in CT. That looks bigger. Nice fish.
