Does any one here know anything about fishing from shore for sharks in CT? Not Sand sharks. Really want to do this. A few years back I got a Brown Shark from shore as a bycatch. I really want to target them! Thanks.

No idea, but really good websites are http://www.northcarolinasharkfishing.com/ and http://www.tx-sharkfishing.com/. For both your safety and the sharks, you should check out the regs, techniques and gear required before giving it a serious go. I've done a lot of surf fishing in NC, and had friends who targeted sharks. It is not a solo activity either. Usually groups of 3-4 guys to get good safe landing, and clean releases of healthy sharks. Good luck.

There was an article printed in the The Fisherman Plus dated August 4 issue number 31. Also check with DEP because I think they are protected . Good Luck.
