Headed out at 15 to daybreak in Stonington. Fished the mouth of the Pawcatuck River. Hit various rockpiles. Good numbers of stripers in the 24 to28 inch slot. No big fish. Also, some bluefish mixed in. Gave up 4 flies to teeth.
Tried on the outside of Sandy Point, but only 1 fish in 45 minutes.
Most productive fly was 1/0 chartruse Blonde.
Did not see any action on the outside. |
