| Headed to the Farmington early this morning to try and get some fihing in before the heavy rain came in. Started fishing the upper River near Riverton with nymphs and pick up one avearge sized brown on a ZUG-BUG special. Noticed Blue Wing Olives on the water and a few rises. Changed leaders and put on a size 18 BWO. On the third drift over where a fish had been rising , the fish took the fly. Released a fat 13 inch Brook Trout. Over the next hour or so, i was fortunate to hook 7 or 8 rainbows and browns. No big fish, buit consistent action on BWO's. Headed home about 9 as the rain became heavy. |

Nice morning. I'm going to try to head out tomorrow morning weather permitting. I am ok with getting caught in the rain, but I won't head out if it is raining already.
Thanks for the tip. I had limited success Sunday using a green pupa. Water was COLD and very few rises. |
