Pachaug River Description
PACHAUG RIVER, Griswold-Voluntown (T) Intermittent sections from Beach Pond to the Quinebaug River. The demarcation line between the Pachaug River and Beachdale Pond is the west side of the bridge on Route 49. Pachaug State Forest is the largest forest in the Connecticut state forest system, encompassing over 27,000 acres (110 km) of land. The forest is named after the Pachaug River, which runs through the center of the forest.
