My first catch of the year was an astounding 3 inch brown trout. Not only was it my first catch of the year but the first time I ever caught anything with a nymph. The battle may have been anti-climactic but all the same good fun. Everyone else seemed to be having the same luck as me today. |

FYI....as of june 15th connecticut salt water fishing license required $10 .....Good for ct ,mass, and ri, but not n.y. not required for party boats |

those striped bass were caught around bartlets reef, in about 40 feet of water. we snaged bunker and shad rite near the charter boats in niantic. i probably could have stuck my head in the fishes mouth with out a doubt. i see your favorite spot to fish is the salmon river, what an awsome river. hows the fishing been there i havent fished that river in a few years. i used to live in hebron. |

Hey stan,Do you fish blackledge brook?Nice fly fishing stream after all the nuts from opening day are done. I seen you were from east hampton up the road from me.Fished it first time last year.Heavilly stocked area. |

I got an old 10 foot Zodiac with a 6 hp engine. Needs some patchwork though and the adhesives are expensive. Should get it up and running soon. I want to take it on the lake, or maybe better yet, the CT River.
