This is my second season fishing Highland Lake. A great lake to take the grandchildren. Plenty of bluegills to keep them busy, and a good bass lake for grandpa. I have caught, large and small mouth bass, northern pike, rainbow trout, rock bass, bluegills and a bullhead or two. Haven't caught the big one yet, but judging from my broken tackle, they are in there. Weekdays are great, week ends can get quite congested with PWC's and tubers/skiers. Very little boating curtesy for fisherman. *****NOTE*****
Marine patrol sets up on lake at 5:00 PM on Sunday afternoon. Strict 6MPH after 5:00 PM. The slightest wake will cost you $90.00. I wish someone had warned me.
Very good ramp and parking facility.
