Aqualung..thanks for the response..I think we were using 4-7oz jigs..and the eels were weighted with 6-7oz..first time with my friend...but we were hitting bottom and next to the blackhawk and odyssey....loved to go out with you sometime and teach me the ropes..heard your a great fisherman..per carp13 Redneck...thanks i will look out for those spots next time and use heavier weights..we were drifting close to 3mph..lets hook up and hit it together,,,
Like 'lung said, you gotta get bottom and be able to hug it without hanging. I usually use 12-16, or 20 if its really ripping. If the current starts lifting your rig during the drift you're missing the fish. I've been out on nights when the drift is so fast it's hard to keep a 20oz down. Out near Fishers at dawn the top water bite is usually pretty good w/ soft plastics. Either at Race Point at the edge of the rip, or on the east side near the green can (Wicopesset), Sugar or Watch Hill reefs.
The ranking score is used to determine how "popular" a trip or location is. It is calculated based off of a weighted average of the number of reviews and the user ratings. For example, a trip with 2 reviews and an average rating of 5 will have a lower "ranking score" than one with 10 reviews and an average rating of 4. This is because even though the first trip has a better average rating, it has not been reviewed as much as the second trip, so it is not as "popular". In the future we may modify the ranking score to take in additional factors, such as the number of views, comments, and photos.
