Stupid Muddy Water!

I went out with a friend on Indian Head Pond in Hanson, MA and came out after a few ours with a big ole zero. We missed one fish that was tucked way back in the weeds. Other than that we didn't get a single bite. Probably should have mixed it up with some buzz baits or spinnerbaits but the water was just too muddy for the fish to see the rubber worms/frogs we were using.

  • Creasekeeper, have you tried a topweed? This might work as a side lure to a crank, just make sure the worm isnt too jigged. Ive had decent success with this, but i think it's a lot better than just wading your lure into a rock pot. ya know?

  • ya i've really gotta expand my game. im always just looking to throw some rubber worms into the lilly pads, just wasn't the right pond for that.

  • I have not been to this pond yet but as you mentioned, my game plan probally would have been thumping spinnerbait or crankbait (if possible with grass) and of course a noisey topwater lure
