Shallow Water Striper University

Capt. Jim White
announces
he’ll be hosting, Shallow Water
Striper University , along with
his sponsors Wood Boat & Motor,
Evinrude Outboards, and
Ocean State Tackle on March
12th, 13th and 14th, 2010. This
weekend long event will be the
first of it’s kind ever held where
the entire focus is “totally” on
how to find and catch more
striped bass. The event will be
held at the Sheraton Airport Motor
Inn, in Warwick , RI on Post
Road .
An All-Star line up of experts
will teach you how to become a
better angler as they teach you
their secrets for success. Capt
Joe Pagano, Capt. Bob Salerno, Capt. Blaine Anderson,
Capt. Pat Rena, Capt.
Ed Hughes, Mike Laptew, David
Pickering, Billy “Eel Man” Nolan,
Alberto Knie, Steve McKenna,
Capt. Jack Springel, Capt.
Jerry Sparks, Capt. Dave Cheiffo,
and Capt. Jim White. Topics will
range from rigging and fishing
soft plastics, fishing live bait, live
eel fishing, menhaden fishing,
fly fishing, kayak fishing, controlled
depth fishing, tube and
worm fishing and a lot more.
Friday evening will feature a
live-demo pool demonstration
on fishing soft plastics effectively
by Capt Jim White and
Herb Reed, owner of Lunker
City Lures. Twenty-one lucky attendees
will also win a free spot
on one of the many charter boat
captains’ boats. Only those pres-
ent are eligible to win.
The event begins Friday at 4
pm to 9 pm and runs through
Saturday at 8 am to 6 pm and
Sunday from 8 am to 4 pm. , for
a total of 20-hours of intense,
educational instruction. There
will be a huge raffle at the end
of each day’s seminars as well.
That breaks down to only $4.45
per hour of instruction, an
unbelievable value for so much
information.
This event will benefit “RI
Kids Special Olympics” to support
their many programs for
kids with disabilities. Registration
is required. Only 130 spots
are available. The cost is $89 per
angler for the entire three days.
Everyone who registrars will
also receive a tackle bag worth at
least $35 in value.
This makes a great Christmas

gift and more for the discriminating

There will also be 30 to 40
vendors there who’ll be showing
their latest goods for catching
striped bass. Friday evening will
also feature Free Hot Dogs and
pitchers of beer for that evening’s
event. For out of state anglers
the Sheraton Inn has graciously
offered a special night’s
rate of $89, double occupancy
at the hotel. The facility has a
restaurant, bar, swimming pool,
work-out room and more.
