bubble and fly help

hey I read recently about the "bubble and fly" method. i.e. fly fishing with spinning gear. Any one have any personal experience with this method and/or any tips they might be able to pass on. "fly" fishing look like good fun but I cant invest in a hole new set of gear right now (that and I am just getting back into fishing)

There is an excellent book on the subject of how to catch fish with a fly and bubble entitled "Fish Don't Think" by Bob Kayne. This cover all you may want to know on the subject.
