CT River 4-16-09

Fished the river last night from shore with a couple of buddys. Tried fishing around vibert road launch with no luck, only a lost lure. Tried a different spot into dark and hooked into two, one was about 12 inches the other one was 26 on the nose and FAT, like the ones you throw back and cry about. Either way the game is on. Caught them both on a 1/4 white jig with a 5" pink fin s.

Why did this get moved to the freshwater reports, this is a striper report?!

Either way hit the same spot this afternoon and ended up with another two, about 18 inch range. Used a 5inch pink fin s with a chartreuse head.

Hey Skipper, The striper forum is under 'saltwater' forum, that's the only reason for the shift.
Trying to keep the ocean striper fishing and the inland spring run separated.
You're doing pretty good from shore inland in the RIVER, just don't catch a big one for the tourny, don't forget, boat only
