For those of us that still folow the tradition of Opening Day, I thought we could share some ofthe flies we have had success with or plan to use this year. I fish the Farmington and Sandy Brook every year.
I mostly fish nymphs and usually have success with: BH Little Brown Stone, BH Flashback Pheasant Tail. If the weather is warm, I will stop off off RT. 44 on the way home to see if any Hendricksons are hatching. I will test the water with a Hendrickson Dry.
Mostly stick with nymphs and usually catch a few fish.
Lets hear what other fly anglers use on Opening Day!!
