Let me see, 20 degrees, wind chill at 0, standing on a block of ice, and waiting for that good ol flag to pop, freezing my rump off. Frost bite and cold beer in the mix also...hmmmmmm.....yeah I'm game, might need some equipt. and a quick crash course though..... I'll bring the brandy......

Since Skip is out to MIA, I will tell you that was just water on the top of the ice. You can fish ice when there is open water like that but all depends on the body of water you are fishing.
