Saybrook Causeway

Had a great weekend at the causeway, Saturday was crazy with a hit or fish almost every cast for 45mins. The bass are small but fun on light tackle. I used zooms with a 1/8oz. tube jig. Anyone looking for some light tackle action this is the place to be.

Sounds like a good time. I know you said small, about what size?

The Bass are from 12-24" and the Shad are from 12-16". What they lack in size they make up for in numbers. Not uncommon for a 50+ fish day.

Sure sounds fun on light tackle. Had to be in a bout with 1/8oz jig head.
A week or so has passed but some of those shad will work well on the reefs 3 waying
