I was reading on another site, that some guys use worms with their tip-ups. Anyone ever try this?? I may try it this season. I figure i could also use the worms on the jigging rods too.

Have caught yellow perch with worms and have seen guys catch trout using worms also.......for jiggin would recommend mealworms as a better choice though.

IMHO Mousies and Wax worms for jigging pan fish.

Mealworms do work great for trout but you can use the above mentioned too, or better yet, tip your jig with a pin head minnow.

Leave the worms home

Baits differ if you are jigging or using tip ups, what you are fishing for and the depths you are fishing.

I caught a few trout on worms, meal worms seem to work better. But most of the trout I catch are on minnows. I think spikes and mousies are best for panfish.
