With the TMA's there are plenty of spots to hit year round. I would miss opening day derbys with my son if that day was eliminated.

This is a great group that deserves all the positive attention it can receive! I am trying to talk my wife and sister on going on a retreat. They are both unfortunately eligible.

Got out this morning. Froze, got blown all over but landed one on a wooly bugger that I tied. I feel totally validated! Very Happy

Thank you Flyangler. I now am memorialized with the first trout I caught on a fly I tied. It was a great day. I'm mostly upset that I was not able to capture a picture of the monster you hauled in.

Sounds like my opening day. I put down the fly rod for the day and took my 6 year old son to the local fishing derby. My teenage son also sleeps to the crack of noon, so no sense in fighting the age ...

Since I received no responses from my request for tips for fishing in November, I figured to try again in December!

Any tips to help make standing in a river freezing worth the trip?

The weather is still comfortable. I have ventured out to the Farmy a few times this November and nada.
Any suggestions to help improve my odds?
