Brrrrrrrrr Cold At The Res Brings Out The Eagle

Nice and cold this morning at the Res. The wind shifted on us halfway down our walk at Scar Hill, thank God not a long walk at all, 6 mins, phew. Changed locations very fast and headed to the other side of the Res. Still a touch of wind, not that bad where we were, and away we go. I expected ICE on the Rod tips but no such luck, sorry Jwall. Those would of been the first pics posted. hahahaha We only had about 3 maybe 4 bites on Shinners, still could be a hair early for this spot wink wink 1 of the bites was a Loon, no question at all. This will make the 8th Loon I have messed around with since 2006 when I started fishing the Res. Thanks Gary As stated, The Eagle was out this morning, mature male, could see the White in the tail and on his Hood. What a sight for 10 - 15 mins. He leaves then we notice the Loon on near our baits, yup, we all know what happened next, my Rod is bouncing like a 8 yr old on a Gymborie. 8th Loon in 7 yrs, do they taste good? hahahahahaha kidding.. Then not very long after that we had another real bite, AEM Uncle, nice guy, Fish's the Res often himself, had a couple of bites but NO takers rrrrrrr We watched a Loon fight with a Comorant, they hate each other. The Loon is Bigger and dives under water to hit the Comorant in the belly. What a sound it makes hahahahahahahah So it was a great nature watching trip and not so great for fishing, but the company is always great Thanks guys We will get them next time
