This area is part of the Pequabuck river, which is loaded with trout. Sometimes very hevily fished. It is stocked every other week tho. There is about 2 miles of the river in this park, and very easily accessable.

I have found this website to be great for people like myself! Not from CT trying to fish and enjoy what this state has to offer! I have to admit, I have added so many spots to fish, that I am excited!
This past weekend, I ventured out to Bristol and checked out the Pequabuck river! The only reason I knew of this spot was due to a post by a member of this website about Rockwell Park! Thank you!!!!!
When I arrived I was a little concerned because of water level! I did not see any trout anywhere! So I started out with worms and had a bite! I saw a trout come out from the side of a rock and take the worm, I just did not respond quick enough! It caught me off guard honestly! I stuck with the worms for an hour and nothing!
In my travel down the river, I found a little pool about a foot deep! I spoked 3 nice size rainbows! SO i knew where to settle in! I couldn't get them to acknowledge my worm. So I switched to a real small spin bait! 3rd cast into the pool, 2 of them rushed the spinner, unfortunately I caught the smaller 1(Picture posted on my profile)! Deff. worth visiting, just have to do some experimenting!

SEE HOW DAVE, FRED, MATT, & NATE
USED CT FISH FINDER FOR THEIR TRIP TO MISSOULA, MT
1. Planning
First, Dave in Connecticut and Nate in Chicago, IL went on CT Fish Finder and used the "Map View" to plot out their expected trip in Montana. Under the tackle box they clicked on Find Location and searched for "Missoula, MT". Within a minute they were zoomed into downtown Missoula. Next, they turned on the Topography layer in the legend so that they could see the elevation of nearby mountain ranges and where the different creeks were. Since Nate was in Chicago and Dave was in Connecticut, they both communicated by sending messages to each other using CT Fish Finder's messaging system. After about 30 minutes they had found their desired route on the Blackfoot and Rock Creek rivers, plus over a dozen streams and tributaries that looked like excellent fishing spots. In addition, they mapped out a great day hike they could take to a glacier lake nearby.
2. Preparing
To prepare for the trip, Dave went back on CT Fish Finder and took screenshots of the topographical maps Nate and Dave had plotted out earlier. From the screenshots he was able to print out 4 copies of the entire fishing trip, encompassing over 100 miles of Montana's rivers, for each person on the trip. He then went down to Kinko's to get them laminated so that they would not get soaked on the rafts. On the trip, the topo maps were invaluable at finding out how far they had traveled and where the best places to fish would be. They also used the maps to mark where they had caught fish and taken pictures, so that when they returned they could use CT Fish Finder to mark all the locations of their trip. By printing out these highly detailed topo maps themselves, they were able to save tons of money had they ordered the maps from an expensive commercial vendor. Also, for all you saltwater fisherman there are detailed Nautical Charts under the "Saltwater Information" link to the right in the Tackle Box.
3. Sharing
While on the trip, the group kept friends and family updated on their progress by sending Picture and Text Messages to text@ctfishfinder.com...the messages were instantly posted on the site for everyone to see. Once they returned from their trip, they then created a new trip under the "My Trips" tab and plotted out all their fishing hotspots and over 100 photos they had taken on their adventure. They then clicked on "Share Trip" and emailed it to all their friends and family so that they could see exactly where all their fish were caught. All and all, CT Fish Finder proved to be a great tool at planning, preparing, and sharing the trip in Missoula, MT.
