Wayne Germany's Latest Reports

GOT ON THE WATER AT ABOUT 6 THIS MORNING, CONDITIONS WERE IDEAL, THERE WERE QUITE A FEW BOATS OUT, I GUESS THE DADS WERE FREEE TO ENJOY THEMSELVES BY GOING FISHING INSTEAD OF SITTING THROUGH SOME BORING FATHERS' DAY BREAKFAST OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT, NOT THAT THAT'S NOT GOOD, IT JUST DOESN'T COMPARE TO A MORNING OUT ON THE LAKE. "IT JUST DOESN'T". WELL I ONLY CAUGHT ONE LARGEMOUTH, A NICE 2 POUNDER ON A TOP WATER PLUG, STILL A WEEK TO GO IN NEW YORK STATE FOR THE OPENING OF BASS SEASON. GOT ONE NICE YELLOW PERCH ALSO BUT THAT WAS IT.

FIRST REALLY HOT DAY OF THE SUMMER, WENT UP TO A SMALL POND IN THE EVENING TO CATCH THE BASS ON THEIR EVENING FEED! STAYED UNTIL IT GOT ALMOST TOO DARK TO SEE, THEN WE GOT OUT OF THERE BEFORE THE NIGHT CREATURES CAME OUT FOR THEIR EVENING DRINK! DID SEE ONE HUGE DEER THOUGH!

LOU AND I FINALLY GOT OUR BOAT MOVED FROM CROTON FALLS RESERVOIR WHICH HAD PRACTICALLY NO WATER OVER TO NEW CROTON RESERVOIR WHICH IS AT FULL CAPACITY. THE WATER IS WARMING UP AND THE FISH WERE A LITTLE MORE ACTIVE! THE CARP WERE JUST HAVING A BALL, JUMPING LIKE CRAZY!

Spent a very nice day on New Croton Reservoir, rowing the boat around while my cousin "Mr.LouBass" caught one fish after another, I didn't catch "JACK", had a couple of tugs on the plastic frog and one nice blast at a giant grub but couldn't set the hook in the weeds. Oh well, it was a great day and the sunset was awesome!
