I know I haven't been posting too much since the ice melted, but I have been doing a lot of fishing. Nothing great to report on salt or fresh, but I am having fun! As some of you mite remember, I picked up my old fly rod this year. Well now I have a short one for the small streams, one for the larger streams, and one for rivers and some salt, and finally one for just salt. I also tried my hand on tying. I got to tell anyone who ever thought about it. It is so enjoyable! I never thought I would have the patients for it. Well after the spring and now though the summer, it's an obsession! Here is the fly tying desk I made.

it closes up so I can take it with me were ever I go!

These are most of the flys I have tied. Some for fresh and some for salt.

a couple of closer pics

Good for you Hertzy...seems you have found the style fishing you like.
I tie my own salt rigs as you know...pretty much the same thing just different materials.
Nice box station, after seeing your slick ice sled, I see you like to roll your own...I mean build your own.

my theory is, why spend the money when I can build it! Cheaper too!
