Reliable reports of good to excellent fishing for stripers are coming for the Pawcatuck River area. Fly anglers are scoring on fish from 24 inches up to 36 inches in and aroundt the various coves and creek mouths near Barn Island. Good catches are also coming from the Pawcatuck River from the westerly yaught Club to the mouth.
Top flies include Clousars, Half & Half's and Flat wing deceivers in charteause/white, grey/white and blu/white.
Now is the time to get out there if you have a small boat, or kayak. |
