I got tired of getting wet while paddling and worked on a cheap way to stay dry. I moved my drip rings 8" from the top of the shaft, and cut the tops off 32oz gatoraide bottles and slid them down over the drip rings. I used electrical tape, only because it was black and matched the shaft, to seal them up and hold them in place. It worked great. I did still get a little water in the boat, but paddling for 7 hours i did not get any water on me. It may not be high tech, but its cheap and it works great. I will add pics of my mod if anyone needs them or are intrested.
