|
|
ive been experimenting with different kinds of offsets for my soft plastics, and like 2 years ago i came across these wide gap hooks with the stainless steel screw that goes into the front of the bait rather than the hook. i friggen' love these things.. a senko lasts like 4x longer. the only problem is THEY ARE EXPENSIVE.. you hardly get any of them per pack..like 3 or 4. i need a place where i can get them bulk. anyone have any suggestions? |

| a few companies seem to be jumping on the bandwagon making twistlock hooks or hooks with a basic hitchhiker. the problem seems to be they are all high end hook companies. owner trokar, and mustad all make them. they are just great when it comes to soft plastics. th, which is why i cant seem to find any bulk packages of them for cheaply. but even though they do cost alot, they are kinda worth the money. they dont tear up the bait nearly as fast, and after you've used the twistlock hook on the bait you can still use a regular offset and have it hold, as the bait isn't torn. | not quite.. on the hooks im referring to, the pin that goes into the front of the bait is a small stainless steel corkscrew, sometimes with a centering pin. The brand i like the best thus far has been the Owner Twistlock series. the screw designalong with the centering pin holds the lure far better. the hooks aqualung mentioned are ok though. i do own a few actually. |
