Has no one been ice fishing? There's gotta be somewhere with 2"+. Any thickness reports?

I had plans to go to Maine this weekend for some hardwater fishing, but recent storms and the promise of more makes the mission doubtful. The camp has heat, but no power; no word as to the plow VS snow on the access road.

Pocotopaug looks ok from my window, but haven't checked for sure. It's a weird lake with ice. I can see some open water west of Spellman's Point. There may be some good coves on The River. Heard of some pike coming through the ice in Portland this year, but haven't seen for myself.

True to your word; I just read the 12/27 report, thanks. I made the decision to go forward with the Maine trip. It will be tough getting out of Connecticut, but moderate snow expected North. The worst part is the sub-zero temps.
