I only fish with flies I have tied and they are always barbless.
Here are some of the flies I have tied and caught fish with and some that I will be trying out this year.
One fly that I do tie and works well is the baby crayfish fly.
I researched about crayfish and found that the fry tend to be active during daylight and are readily taken by bass. I looked at photos of the crayfish fry and came up with a fly that works well.

my dad and i bought some bass flys off of a company based in texas and we have many different styles of flies that work for different fish. we bought some that are designed to look like large bugs and are rigged weedless so we can float them over the lillipads and they can be deadly on bass. some flies are designed to look like bait fish and so far have worked really well on bass and pickeral.
