I'll be living on Hitchcott lake in Wolcott, was wondering how the fishing was on the lake.

Private lake. Access is limited to residents and their guests. An acquaintance form the NJ Fish Finder group who has a relative on the lake says they treat the water chemically for weeds etc. and it may have a detrimental effect on the fishing at times right after treatment. Because it's private you may have better luck checking with the "association"

WE moved to the lake last August, not waterfront so we can't use our bass boat. We have the beach membership and can use our yaks, so it's better than nothing. It's loaded with small largemouth bass, the biggest I've caught so far is about a pound. I'm now moving out to deeper water where's there's quite a few large submerged boulders, hoping for bigger bass there. There's also a good population of large yellow perch and sunfish. But the people are friendly and the water is clean. Welcome!!
