Wondering what you guys are up to?
I have plans to get out tomorrow, but facing my forever common question of WHERE??
I like exploring new waters, but sometimes that leads to the big skunk, or a lot of work finding the fish.
If I figure it out I will post Rolling Eyes[/b]

I think I'm going to hit either Beach pond or Hopeville pond on Sunday. I think tomarow, I'm going to one of those seminars at Rivers End, then to Cabelas to buy me a ice sled. Very Happy

The report is as follows.

The Good---- Got out Fishing

The Bad----- It was WWINDYY and Cold

The Ugly---- No fish

Hit up Keeney cove with Nate, We fished the southern section about 150 yards below the road, water depth 3'- 6'
We both jigged pretty steady, using shiners on the tip-ups except I had two set with smaller perch in hopes of a big Pike or Bass.
We fished for about 5 hours, the one and only fish caught was by Nate and that was a river shiner Rolling Eyes

My exploratory type ice fishing season so far has proven to be less than productive. I'm thinking I may need to head back to some of my old reliable's.

My neighbor "steve1" and I tried out luck at Beach today. We fished the RI side about 50 to 75 yards from 165. Had a few bites and got one perch. We talked to a few guys, and the had a few trout towards the middle. Not a lot of people out there today. We got there around noon, and left at 4. It was nice to get out.

tbob, I buy my shiners by the dozens not individually when I do buy them Razz
I would have gone with you but didn't want to show you up with the young fella you were teaching to ice fish.

I was missed as much as I missed going Rolling Eyes

Let's see what this week brings...work and weather wise.

Good to hear you got out Elon, too bad the fishing was slow.
Don't give up hope, you still need to experience a banner day on the ice. Wink

Thanks for the back up Skipper, but I'ze don't need it with tbob.
The answer is NO he has not caught a big pike, the truth of the matter he probably has never even caught a small pike Razz

As for "all these Walleye trips" skip, there was only one and that was explained.

Regarding myself and Mr Boston, Yes it's true, he and I got rather cozy the other evening. Also, I was the ONLY individual to catch TWO walleye.
However Mr Boston had nothing to do with the HALF Back flip I did on my exit from the ice Laughing

tbob doesnt target pike.....dont want to wait 8 hours for 1 flag when I can be busy for 4 hours catching other species.

Hey skip, did Lung explain how he caught 2 eyes?....due to malfunctioning cheap lights he didnt know anything till I put a light on and found 2 flags up.....they had been on so long they had swum halfway across the lake! The trebles were hanging out the poor eyes pooper!
