Went out in Westbrook yesterday with my sons looking for fluke. We went up to where a number of boats were west of Southwest reef. We stayed for a while and got nothing. Last week I was out and got a number of shorts at another spot at Southwest reef. Went back there again and got some good action. We ended up getting 9 fluke with 2 keepers. Surprisingly, there was almost no one else out there, so that was nice.

Took a break and got something to eat and went to the same place in the afternoon. The wind picked up, but the fluke were still there. There were also more boats out there. But, we ended up getting 11 more with 2 more keepers. All of them were between 30 - 40ft deep. All day we only had one Sea Robin and no skates. All of us got a number of fish and all had keepers, so it was a great way to spend a Saturday on 4th of July weekend. Might go back tomorrow ('Rolling Eyes')

Way to go on the flatties, the wind has improved my catch at times depending on tide direction of course.
