| Took a vacation day to fish the harbor. Started at 7 and ran up to the bridge for some bunker. Saw a few on the screen but wasn't able to snag any before I lost my weighted treble. Threw out a tubeNworm as well as a bunker plug and trolled the west side of the channel dropoff as I could see a few good size fish on the screen. Slack tide at 10:30, so I tried the middle breakwater with no luck. Ran in to the spindle that marks the sandbar and got one strike on a sluggo while working the rocks. Flood tide brought me no readings on the screen for an hour and a half, so called it at 12:30. Been awhile that I've been skunked, but what a day to goof off on the water. I'll be back in sept. |
