Left the dock in Mystic just before day break this morning in light fog. Seas were flat and the wind was light out of the Northwest.
Headed over to the east end of Fishers. Picked up 4 stripers to 33 inches on squid patterns tied yesterday. Fish hit subsurface on full sinking lines. Bite died quickly so I decided to explore a few of the coves on the North shore. A few fish were present, but their size was in the 24 inch range. Fish took a grey/white flat wing deceiver on intermediate line. Hit a couple of rock piles on the way back to the dock with no success. |
