Took an opportuinty to fish from a friends boat yesterday for stripers in the lower CT River. Fished the start of the ebb and found plenty of stripers from 18 inches to 29 inches. Fish hit most any flies, but top fly was blue/white flat wing deceiver 2/0. We fished in less than 10 feet of water from the mouth of the Blackhall River to the Wod Lot.
High winds and a fast approaching storm forced us off the water as the dropping tide increased the bite.
Now is the time to get out... plenty of fish and chance for big bass in skiny water.
