I think it might be interesting to have a block that shows the most current post on the welcome page, regardless of what state your in.
For instance, if someone post a catfish thread in Alabama and it is the most recent post on the entire site it would show up on every states welcome page. It seems in would start to unite the entire site in general.
I'm sure I would be interested in what other fisherman are posting throughout the country, I just don't go searching each state.
This may be much more involved than I think though.
