Want to make sure your kids and grandkids get a chance to target that 50 lb. striper or fish unrestricted waters in Florida? Don't let the never wet a line, fair trade latte sipping, would hug a tree but it would probably get their overpriced designer hemp clothing dirty, "environmental crusaders" dictate policy for real outdoor advocates. Sportsmen and women are the backbone of conservation. Let your voice be heard. Right now several key issues are pending, including protecting the menhaden/pogy/bunker populations that are key to sportfishing in the North East. Visit the angler's advocate at

| Did anyone here make it to the public hearing on the Atlantic menhaden fishery management plan last night at the Old Lyme DEEP HQ? If so, a little report would be very much appreciated. There have also been previous ones in New Haven and Bridgeport. |

| I just saw the announcement for that this week, too late to attend. I'm sure there will be a report or minutes on the DEEP site soon. |
