Here's what I know as of today. Bantam, Tyler, Scoville, Mashpaug ("To the Rock") Bigelow, Black pond, (Union) Crystal lake (Ellington) Winchester, have people fishing them I'm sure there are plenty more. I am not advertising these all as safe, just that there have been people fishing in these locations. Use caution as always when checking out any location for ice fishing.

Anyone know of other locations...PLEASE chime in!

Hey Paul, Thanks for info on Mudge and Beach. If you do hear or see Beach fishable please let me know, I want to try ice fishing that place for eyes. Hmmm 10 guys at one location they must be catching something.
I'm still undecided on the weekend.

I do know they have been getting Salmon at Crystal in Ellington, I've heard it from a couple different sources.
Good luck where evr you end up, will be waiting for your report.

I drove by Wethersfield cove this morning and there was 3 guys out on it, so I stopped on my way back to check it out and everyone was gone. I have a feeling the ice may of been a little to Iffy, by the end of the day, this is all I saw. If you look close on one of the pictures you can see where the drilled holes,.
Couldn't of been too much ice, the chip piles are very small.

Hey tbob,
I drove by Beach last week, and there was alot of open water, but I am gonna drive by there tomorrow I think so I will keep you deformed. To answer your question, i am not familliar with beach pond infact I never even fished it, Just moved to the area. i dont know if there are walleye in there or not but I do know that they recently stockedn a good number of salmon in there, as far as Eyes,Gardner lake salem, lake pocatapaug in Easthampton both have eyes. and they are both a resonable dioostance from one of my fav places moodus res. no eyes in there but some monster bass.
will you know about beach,
Take care
