Fished both Friday and Saturday morning out of Niantic. Fog on both days prevented me from motoring very far. Fished Black Point Rip and Two Tree Island. Seems to be more bait around, mostly very small butterfish and some peanut bunker. Picked up stripers and bluefish on both trips. Most of the stripers raqnged from 24 to 33 inches and the blues were in the 5 to 7 pound range. Top flies included rootbeer special, platium blonde and epoxy silverside patterns. Hopefull more bait will move in and fishing conditions will improve. Looking forward to a great fall!
