Went out early Sunday morning to Niantic for some fishing.Arrived at the launch at 4:45,first trailer there.Set up,got the chum pot in the water and the fish started biting in the dark.Just as it started getting light stripers were everywhere.Talked to my friend down there and he said there are some big cows up in the river and I believe him because of the size of the stripers hitting bait right next to the boat.I did not bring my big tackle but had fun with some schoolies.The flounder were also hitting.
