| My second trip to the river, and only my second brown trout. They seem to be very small in the local waters. The first one i had was about 1/3 lb and this one was smaller maybe a 1/4. I have a big affinity for pins minnows, the browns seem to love em. I also threw my lure onto the bank and got stuck. Good news is i went around and over the bridge and got it back. I also pulled a small 13inch chain pickeral. Did not even think they were in this river. Might not go back if that is what to expect. Signs are up about sections being closed due to the firearm deer season. |

| Don't give up on 'er! The Eight Mile can be a good river April-June. I don't think it always gets a fall stocking. In a few weeks I should have some time to get out again and I want to try the lower section (below Mt. Archer Road) for some Sea-runs again. |
