Fished Congamond today, managed to get on the ice at 5:45am and had all tip ups in the water for 6:15, fished until 3pm. The day started off very cold but wormed up with little wind. Managed to pull out the first fish around 8:30, just in front of the Southwick boat launch by Saunders boat marina. We later landed 2 more all bass just above the bottom all in the range of a pound to two pounds. Jigging went well with two more bass in the same range. Was hoping for the big one but he did not show.  |
