Left the dock out just after 1st light this morning in anticipation of surface feeding stripers on Bartletts. Found some birds working the rip line just north of the spindle. Hooked up ona tan Pugalsi syle peanut bunker pattern. Fish were feeding sub surface so we used full sinking lines. Over the next hour and several drifts, relaesed 1/2 dozen or so stripers in the 24 to 29 inch range and two bluefish about 8 pounds.
Located more birds working over a pod of striers SW of the spindle. Fish were acively surface feeding and hit Rainys silver poppers. we had a bast hooking and releasing stripers for a short time until two other boats came flying up and put the fish down.
Headed over to Black Pt and fished out front with no success.
